What do you get when you cross AT THE GATES and CARCASS with HATEBREED? Besides a hard on, that is!!!! Fucking UNEARTH, man! I wrote and called and begged and pleaded with the record company to send me this band’s material so I could bring it to the attention of everyone, but my luck showed its true colors and I never even got a small reply. Nothing. Are these guys related to Relapse or something?
So, yeah. Forever I have been going to the Eulogy website just to listen to UNEARTH mp3s. And recently I got the opportunity to see them live. I had to put on a condom during their set or else I would have gotten everyone pregnant because of the multiple orgasms I was having. I had told all of my friends who had come with me to the show that UNEARTH were the biznom beeeeeeeeeeeeatches, and they proved me so fucking right!
So, if you’re looking for more info in this review, I guess that’s fair of you, since I am the master of info in reviews............ha ha ha! But the best thing I can tell you is that this is the perfect combination of metal and hardcore. It’s very musically complex, like AT THE GATES, and the vocals are more metal than hardcore, but you can tell where they are rooted! (Funny how no one ever mentions that about those metal guys,...........what are they called again?................oh yeah, SLAYER.)
So if you’re beyond the “I’m too metal for hardcore,” and you’re not worried about being called a fat metal dude (that’s what I keep hearing from the hardcore crowd--metal makes you fat. Shit! And all this time I thought it was the mass amounts of shit I ate all the time. Wonder when Angela from ARCH ENEMY will become metal?), then this is for you.
Anywho. Great fuckin’ metal here! Buy it or die!
