Review:
Sirena combines an interesting mix of goth, classical music and black metal in
their 2004 release, "An Elixir For Existance", and does so to a very impressive
effect. Being a fan of Therion, I was very pleased to hear the operatic vocals
in Track One, and the fantastic, atmospheric keyboard work blends in well with
the guitar sound without being too obstrusive. I would venture to say that this
CD would please not only fans of bands like Cradle of Filth, but could also
drawn in fans of bands such as Lacuna Coil, which is a monumental feat, in and
of itself. A great and talented metal offering, all in all.
